Everything you need to know about color masterbatch — from product basics to ordering, compliance, and shipping.
Color masterbatch is a concentrated pigment mixture dispersed in a carrier resin. It is added to base resin during plastic processing (film extrusion, injection molding, fiber spinning, etc.) to impart color. Typical let-down ratios range from 1% to 5% depending on color depth, opacity requirements, and application. The carrier resin should be compatible with the base polymer to ensure good dispersion and mechanical properties.
Masterbatch offers several advantages over direct pigment use: easier handling and dosing, better dispersion quality, cleaner production environment, and the ability to combine color with functional additives (UV stabilizers, antioxidants, slip agents, etc.) in a single product.
Yes. We offer comprehensive custom color matching services. You can provide us with any of the following:
Our R&D team will develop a matching formulation within 5–7 working days. We use advanced spectrophotometry to ensure color consistency, with color difference (ΔE) controlled below 1.0. Sample production runs of 25 kg are available for your testing before placing a full order.
The standard MOQ varies by product type:
For established customers with regular orders, lower MOQs may be negotiated. Please contact our sales team to discuss your specific requirements.
Yes. Our food-contact grade masterbatch complies with the following international regulations:
Relevant compliance documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Certificate of Analysis (COA), is available upon request. Third-party test reports from SGS or TÜV can also be provided for specific products.
